C & K Farms takes pride in trying to hold onto a more traditional way of life.  This includes gathering sap in the Spring to boil for Maple Syrup, to raising Heritage and endangered breeds of poultry and Hogs.  we minimize the use of antibiotics in our livestock and we "DO NOT" use hormones.  Our poultry are free range and our hogs are grass fed.  50 TO 100 years ago our fathers farms were quite different than those we see today.  The poultry roamed the yard and the other animals grazed the fields.  Today the animals spend their lives in cages and are fed hormones and sub - thereputic antibiotic regimes.  This affects the quality and nutritional value of the produce.  On C & K farms we also keep our own beehives.  These ensure adequate pollination of the clover which our grass fed program relies so heavily on.  We keep these bees in an all natural way and use no pesticides.  We believe in trying to preserve some of the old ways.  Our fore fathers did know what they were doing after all.  If you want to know about raising animals traditionally or would like  to try grass fed Pork or eggs please feel free to e - mail us.  

 

We have teamed up with a local farmer who will be raising a limited number of Mulefoot Hogs for purchase as a meat hog.  The hog will be available for pick up by you and transport to a processor of your choice or we will have the hog processed at our Ohio inspected processor and you can pick up the finished meat there.  If  Interested you must get your reservations in ASAP to reserve a finished hog email us at archangel_cpj@hotmail.com  This meat will be finished with farm grown grains and fresh cows milk......
